Oil sender fitting and oil pressure problems

Seems it’s possible to thread the oil sender block too far into the engine reducing the amount of oil seen by the oil pressure switch and low oil pressure to the head and turbo.

don't know if this has been covered before but I had a light bulb go off when reading about this on the other site.

I doubt you could screw the stocker unit in far enough but maybe an aftermarket but even then, you'd really have to tighten that sucker up, seems IIRC, things will go snap before it gets that far.

The FWD Performance manual actually mentions this as a possible problem, so apparently it is very possible.
