    trouble after engine was replaced (revised)

    car is a 1994 shadow 2.2 tbi (non egr) swapped to a low miles 1994 2.5 tbi (with egr)
    the car will not shutdown when you turn the key off, always worked before withe the 2.2 not sure whats happening now, the only way to stall it out is cut off the fuel

    did a compression test got
    140 70 140 130
    didnt go up with oil, is it unlikely for the valves to be sticking or possibly leaking on #2 making it that low ? head was replaced less than 2yrs ago but i think the shop lied to them and put on a used one since they painted it silver, who paints a new reman head before putting it on

    Check grounds etc, you could have pinched a wire. Not sure if the fuel pressure is different for the 2 years. It will be lean running a 2.5 on a 2.2 TBI cal. Is the EGR valve stuck open, common problem, I would just block it off with a plate.

    checked grounds, seems like i got them all {firewall to intake, pas side engine mount, harness to head, wires near computer} also added one from head to body to be sure, nothing changed
    egr valve shouldn't be stuck, it was functioning properly when it was in the parts car a few days ago. does a computer from a car without egr have the program in it to control one ? maybe its not being utilized even though its plugged in

    Do a leakdown test, that will tell you what's going on.
