1992 Spirit ES Turbo production numbers?

I found a red 92 spirit es 2.5 T1 5spd for sale today that I'm strongly considering buying, I'm wondering if anyone knows what the production numbers are on these cars either on the red ones or even on the whole run of 92 ES T1'S

Re: 1992 Spirit ES Turbo production numbers?

I used to own an 92 Dodge Spirit ES Turbo auto car in Indy Red, from what I could find it is 1 of 93 in Indy Red for 1992. Boy I wish I could find another, or at least have the money to get my old 91 Spirit ES Turbo back.

92 was the last year for the Turbo in the Spirit. In 93 the Spirit ES could only be had with a 3.0 V6 or 2.5 TBI.

Yup that's Indy Red. I say go get it. It's rare, it looks good, still has the correct wheels on it. Trust me you will kick yourself if you don't get it, giving the under side is nice.

No doubt. I've had my eye out for a 5 speed Spirit or Acclaim for a long while now and not found one that I wouldn't feel bad about DDing. They are rare and awesome.

Re: 1992 Spirit ES Turbo production numbers?

I have owned 3 Spirit ES turbos, 90,91,92, 2 autos and one manual. Best frigging cars I have every had. I would like another for a Daily Driver, but they are hard to find so it may look like my rare 89 Lebaron GTS TII car will have to start being my new Daily Driver :-(

Re: 1992 Spirit ES Turbo production numbers?

The way Chrysler production numbers were kept on these cars makes it impossible to do any detailed breakdown. I can tell you how many of the 92 turbo ES cars built were 5spd, I can tell you how many were red, but I can't tell you how many red 5spds were built. It is just the way Chrysler did the #s. They give you a total number and then all the options are just a % of that total number. With that being said, here are the numbers.

    1992 Spirit ES Production

    360 total
    40.3% or 145 A523 manual
    59.7% or 215 A413 auto

    Colors
    16% or 58 Bright Silve
    25% or 90 Indy Red
    44.7% or 161 Bright White
    14.2% or 51 Black

As far as options, outside of transmission and body color, most of the ES cars were identically built because they came with most options. The only options I found were:

    overhead console 38.9%
    illuminated sunvisor 46.4%
    power driver seat 42.5%
    header mtd reading lamp 61.1%
    styled alum wheel 44.7%
    eurocast 2 wheel 55.3%

The wheels ... I don't remember two different wheels being on the 92 ES, but maybe I am incorrect.

How much is he asking? There are a couple nice R/Ts for sale on this forum at good prices. One is an 8v, not what I'm looking for but is more reliable than a TIII and easier to get parts for.

The paint certainly looks like it is in great shape.
