So does mine, but I register it every year! I'm always surprised at the attention it gets even with the way it looks.

Johnny, it had a few dents while doing the motor. Now it has a huge gaping dent from a branch and a storm. It's real rough.

Not to mention poor paint, etc.

I remember your car now. Blue? SMEC electronics on the 2.4? That was neat to see.

Yep, that's my pile of crap! The first year I drove that car down there was 2008 and the engine had about 650 miles on it when I left for the trip. It came home with nearly 1000 miles more and I've driven it there every year since.

FYI, there is drag racing at Quarter Aces Dragway on 7/12 in the evening, it's the tracks biggest event of the year when the mopars show up and the locals fill the hill for spectating.

Haven't been to quarter aces in years. Last year I went it was something mountain drag way?

johnny, that was a neat car. Something to study. I looked at it at least 6 or 7 times last year.

I have a reservation here at this bed & breakfast, it's nice and cheap (for the show), I will probably be staying with friends, if anybody wants the room I can transfer it over to you, just PM me.

    Re: Chryslers at Carlisle

i'll be out there again this year, hoping the weather is a bit milder than last year. Moparmarc and I are rolling out in my 01 Neon R/T. Was hoping to bring a turbo car, but I don't feel like doing the 11 hour drive without A/C and towing a car all the way cuts too deep into my swap meet budget. Ill still be hanging out in the SDAC area on the show field and can take care of club membership re-news, joins and any other questions.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Looks like they're calling for mid 80's to 90's. Looks like it will be pleasant there for a change.

Yeah I'm keeping my eye on the weather more than ever this year. I wish I would have taken a picture of the TV at the hotel last year. 103 at the hotel, 101 at the showfield on Saturday. It didn't stop me from going over every inch of the swap meet and most of the showfield, but that was brutal. I love my Daytona to pieces, but I really wouldn't have minded my air-conditioned Neon at that point.

Current forecast for Saturday is 84 degrees and partly sunny. Hope that holds. Last year's heat was unbearable, it was tough to just walk around.

    Re: Chryslers at Carlisle

I spoke with the folks at Carlisle today about a club tent for SDAC. They had one for us last year. This year we only have 14 cars registered for the club so we didn't qualify for a tent, they still may be able to set us up with one, but it sounds like that's not too likely.

Is anyone attending all 3 days with a Shelby Dodge, Daytona or T3 car bringing a canopy I can hang the SDAC banner on and park a few chairs under?
