    Re: 3.8L Dodge Dynasty

    Well i forgot about these for a while but here's a couple pics of the 4ch amp install.

    Annnndddd.. with the carpet in place:

    I ran the front speaker signals on the rear speaker wires and just jumped across the adapter harness so there is no alteration to the factory wiring other than where i clipped the pigtails from the rear speakers (it was already cut when i ran the aftermarket speakers off the head unit anyway). The dash speakers are T-tapped in parallel off the adapter harness as well so the front speakers are wired for 2-ohm. The back are 4. So the dash speakers are Infinity Reference 4" coax, the front door speakers are MB Quart 5.25" coax, and the rear deck speakers are MB Quart 6.5" components with the woofer mounted in the 6x9 deck holes with 1/4" mdf adapter plates.

    I liked it so far but it's not quite there without the subs. The sub box will be a small sealed box for 2 12s in the spare tire well, with a hinged lid covering up the rest of the tire well where the amp will be and there will be a little bit of room for tools/jumpers/etc. Should be flush with the rest of the trunk on top. Not sure what i'll use for a sub amp yet but im reusing my old subs, 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect 4-ohm single voice coils.

    Any updates on this? I'm actually putting together my parts list to put a turbo on my 2003 T&C AWD with 215hp 3.8L.
    Interestengly I also settled on AEM fuel and spark box after getting a run-around from SCT, B&G and many others (including old friends).
    I have so far accumulated a set of 42lbs injectors (but may go to ford injectors to match the new style fuel rail), walbro 255hp fuel pump setup for SRT, GN turbo, 65mm throttle body from 90's 4.7L, Innovate LC-1, a nice large intercooler and a set of exhaust manifolds to mod for turbo flange.
    On order is the AEM box.
    Keep up the good work, very interested in your results.

    Thanks Alex. I still haven't fixed the darn PS pump, but i DID swap in most of the 3" exhaust from the old car. It's 2.5" stock downpipe down to 3" cat and then 3" mandrel bent to behind the rear axle where it just ends right now. I think i want to try a dynomax VT muffler on it. I had a dynomax straight-through oval case SS-mesh packed muffler on the last car and the noise level was really good but the sound itself was pretty bad. Trying to get a more attractive tone this time around.

    I've used magnaflow round resonator and a muffler on my minivan and it sounds pretty good. 2.5" mandrel bent. I've also used a Monza resonated tip to "upscale" the sound. It's actually pretty civilized but when I step on it sounds very nice, especially with the short ram intake I added recently. Exhaust and intake actually made a pretty big difference in passing power.
    Here's a clip of my exhaust when it was just finished, it's deeper and louder now after it's got some miles on it.

    In case someone is stumbling upon this, this late in life;
    the different 4-bolt pattern & bolt size for the rear axle mentioned in the OP, is identical to the PT Cruiser and rear caliper brackets/backing plates, brakes, spindles & hub bearings can all be swapped from a PT to a Dynasty/New Yorker/Imperial (C & Y bodies).
    ive got a write up on it over at the other place.
    just FYI
