Saw a cool setup called NANO that uses c02 to keep nitrous pressure consistent and allows you to use almost all of the bottle.

A friend has used a NANO setup before. He liked the consistency it gave the shot.

Finished painting the engine bay, not a great job but looks decent when you open the hood now. Got the brake lines bolted back on and the wiring harness reinstalled. Just need to get the 604 rebuilt or find another good one and I'll have everything to put it together again.

If it is a 1991 unit then you would be better off finding a later unit to start with.

I was thinking that. The current '91 unit was rebuilt/upgraded in '98, but the front pump is gone in it now. I may just have it fixed for now to run with the stock engine, and round up a '00ish unit to build for when I put a built engine in it.

Around 95-96 was when the last of the real 'hard parts' upgrades were made from Chrysler with the OD hub and main input clutch drum design tweaks , then until 2004-on when they went to the bonded 2-4 and L-R clutch pistons instead of the earlier cast aluminum w/lip seal pieces. The good thing being like the 3speed most of the later improvements can be readily retrofitted into an older unit.

FYI you have to keep the older case and valve body because they changed the TRS from two external sensors to one internal sensor and changed the wiring at the same time for the later units.

Well I'm sure I could swap the wiring in also, as the trans wiring is nearly standalone also, but I don't know that it's really worth it. I'd probably be fine with just the hard part upgrades.

Yeah, i dont think there's anything about the newer valve body and case that helps us at this point other than having bosses for a rear trans mount. In the future it would allow us to use the newer flashable controllers with modified cals but we're still not there so for right now i just see it as a hassle and would keep all the stock case and wiring.

Trans is at the shop to be built, SBEC is at BoostButton getting a flash module installed for tuning. Getting closer Got a guy checking on a price to get the headers and mid-pipe stripped and recoated also. Gonna try and make it look somewhat pretty under the hood again Thinking about getting the valve covers hydrodipped with some kind of pattern too.

Those made to last coatings sure don't last
Now you just need a boost button transmission controller.

Flashable SBEC will be here next week Trying to help Shelgame work on finishing decoding the '91 3.0 code so we can get a Turbonator V6 codebase, although my programming-challenged brain is having a hard time of it Anybody wanna help lol,

Stilling trying to pay off the trans too, if some of my stuff would just sell...

Hard to tell if the intake runners are fully ported or not. Looks like maybe just around the ports?

First two are the head side, the last pic is from the plenum side.

It's kinda hard to tell. I think maybe they just smoothed it out by the looks of it. I think I can still see casting lines, so if stuff was done, it wasn't a lot of material taken off.

Put the computer and battery tray back in yesterday. Gonna see about getting the engine pulled out of the other car soon, so I can get it ready to drop in this car.
