    stranded with code 54

    Any ideas what could cause this.

    I spent a lot of time chasing this problem last summer. Best I can tell, the wires in the HEP start to break from too many years of vibration. Find a good HEP that works, or buy a new one. Clean your connections, and use some dielectric grease in there, and either use the reatainer on the factory harness or a zip tie to secure the wires so they're not swinging around.
