I ended up using an 89 Mini harness when I did mine. I had to make some serious mods to the harness to make it fit and look correct.

was it worth doing and what kinda of changes had to be made
Remembering back. I had to remove all the headlight, side and front marker wiring and splice in for two headlight Lbody. Also when doing the bulkhead I was able to shorting the harness abit. I did all the connections with harness overtop of the original carbed harness for size on the floor. Took a afternoon to make the splices and soldered it up. Had to run a fuel pump wire for the walbro through an empty spot on the bulkhead as well a wire for the dash(power Loss and knock sense. Alot more to it but 100% worth the effort for me anyways.
