Wow Pat - nice! I really wanted that car - glad you're taking care of it!

Thanks, everyone. Hope to have the engine bay completely buttoned up this weekend so I can actually let it run a bit and maybe even give it a lap or two of the neighborhood with no hood, bumper, grill, lights, exhaust, etc. Yes, my neighbors love me. :-) Looks like I'm going to have to make a fan shroud, which adds a bit of time that I was not expecting, but nothing too serious.
Mary Beth, will we be seeing you in Bowling Green in September?
Looks great Pat. Good luck on the test run.
Quick test drive around the neighborhood was a success!

Yeah that's a downer... I wanted to see the shadow in person.
Certainly you'll attend the Cecil Fun Day though??
I hope I hear about it in time to be able to make it there myself. Maybe even have Mini done by then.

I'm sure I'll be at Cecil, unless something completely unexpected comes up again. Cecil is less than 2 hrs from me, so it's an easy drive up/drive home day.
Ha ha...yes, I did!
Looking for opinions on the wheels. I'm considering Kosei K1's that have been powerdercoated an Audi gray. The car will be repainted completely silver (so no black bumper) but this should give an idea of what it will look like. The powder coat is a close match to the paint I used on the valve covers and intake. Opinions?
Also, the black rub strip down the side: I have to take it off to repair a small dent behind the drivers door and for paint. I'm debating putting it back on. Opinions?
Koseis - like!
Rub strip - remove.

Every in silver will look very clean, Great work!
If you keep the rub strip you will have to keep a black band on the bumper covers as well. If you ditch it you can do the bumper covers all silver. Small detail may sway your decision. Im indifferent on it. I do love those wheels (as usual).
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
I dig the color of the Kosei's.
