I too would keep the wheels and lose the strip.
I too would keep the wheels and lose the strip.
That was the color I was going to use on a set of wheels if I get some.
On the first wheel.

Oh man....I like Kosies, but I'm a sucker for lace style wheels....With the right tire size and the car at the right ride height those could look amazing!
Decided on the Koseis for now. Thanks for the input everyone!
Kosei K1's look good on everything. Good choice.
How about some more info on those ESM wheels? I'm assuming they are geared toward the VW crowd. I think a set of those would look cool on my CSX.
I just missed out on a set of those on ebay for $325/free shipping and im pissed about it. Only thing holding me back was seller didnt list which offset they were. In retrospect i probably could have made either of the available offsets work.. gahhhhhthis is ESM 002,
Dont push the red button. You hear me?
So far, the .48 F1-57 (stage3) 50 trim is awesome. Have it at 10 psi only at this point, but it zings up quickly, not getting any creep with the cut out closed and its pulling hard past 6k. It will be interesting to see at what point the exhaust side chokes up when I start throwing boost at it.
Well, if you haven't widened the nozzle area, there is always that option for when it 'chokes up'. IIRC user Rattlesnake dyno'd just over 400whp through a stg5 .48 housing. I am not sure if the nozzle area was affected by the size of the stg5 wheel or not.

I did port the housing...should have mentioned that.
Huge setback tonight....not only did 3rd gear take a dump while testing but it is also now smoking. After digging into the smoking, we've concluded it has a valve seal issue. It's all coming back out. Damn.
On the upside, rings seem to have seated nicely. Compression is between 160 and 165 across the board.
That sucks...with how everyone talks you'll have it back together by after lunch break tomorrow.
Sorry to hear about that Pat. I guess it could have been worse. If you change your mind and want to install an 8v, I'll put your drag week motor in the Consulier. Just a thought.
She is back in action...just put 60 miles on it. Smoking was an oil ring issue, trans was a fork pad problem. Woo hoo!
That's great news Pat. I bet it feels good to drive :-)
