    Heat problems

My 89 spirit has no heat, the lines running to the box are warm and the flapper doors move when pushing the buttons in the car. My question is why wont it blow any heat?

    does the blower motor work?

Sounds like a clogged heater core.

How is the engine temp? steady? low?

    Re: Heat problems

My Mini was the same way, I tried the 'flush in a can' stuff by Prestone and it didn't help. So then I cut out the heater control valve (the hoses if original and 20+ years old will NOT let go)with a razor blade, flushed the heater core out with the garden hose and a bunch of gooey/brown crap came out. reinstalled the HCV with new hoses and the heat will cook you outta the van now
