I'm doing a T1>T2 conversion. And I don't have a inlet adapter for the original Garrett, but I do have a later model stock Garrett housing on a turbo with a bad oil seal. I'm assuming I could simply housings?

You could swap housings. No problem there. I also have an inlet adapter here if you'd like to go that route. If you have the T2 wastegate actuator, it makes for a clean swap.
is the turbo on or off the vehicle? it can be difficult to swap housings while its on the vehicle (but only slightly easier to clock housing)
if your going to use the t1 wastegate actuator, i believe it will need to be drilled and clocked also to work correctly
if you use the t2 housing, its better to use the t2 wastegate actuator, cleaner install and better operation.
I would swap housings if only for the friendlier outlet angle of the TII piece.
Okay, looks like I'll be swapping the housing and wastegate actuator. Thanks guys.
