i was originally going to build a one off spoiler. but looking through the bone yard this caught my attention

i was sure i could get it to conform with my decklid. so i peeled off the outer skin from the crossfire hatch and trimmed away at the lancer's lid. placed the skin in place added a few screws to hold it and then tack welded it in a few places

once welded a little filler was used to smooth out the area. and a few coats of polyester primer was applied



then the lid was turned over and a little filler was once again laid out to hide the graft. then epoxy primer was spayed

now i wasn't finished there. i then cut down the back side shell of the crossfire hatch and trimmed it down with the hunch that this would really make this modification seem to be factory made. take a look.

once the polyurethane primer had a chance to cure and dry i sanded that down with 180 grit sand paper to discover some minor imperfections and pin holes. i fixed those areas and then i reprimed the panel with urethane primer. now this looks as if this was a factory made part. what do you think?

flywheel is from jeep liberty. clutch is from 90's s10 four cylinder. pilot bearing is machined to fit center of flywheel

I to am using that engine and Trans combo but I'm looking for a higher hp clutch solution and also wondering if the dual mass flywheel will handle it also

yeah i haven't done anymore research on that. other than the spline is typical gm. solstice used this trans with a turbo, so maybe take a look at that disc. you can always get an aluminum flywheel made.
