I'd like to see the pics. How bad is the rust?

What you see on the driver's floor is the mud off of my sneakers. The carpet does need cleaned but there are no major stains. The headliner is in good shape and is not sagging anywhere. The stering wheel in the car is not the better of the two. The other was left out so I could have it re-wrapped in leather (not done yet). The driver's door was not completely closed in the one picture which is why it looks like it is not ligned up. You can see from the picture from the rear that there is no alignment issue. As I said the surface rust around the Parking Brake cable is inside the car. There is no rust around it underneath the car. As you can see in the pictures the car was running while I was taking the pictures.
Bump for a great guy to deal with! I remember the underneath of that car being very solid when I last saw it.
Neat car, great price, I owned SL #210 cloth 5 speed from 1991 til 2006, loved it
So you say new...whats that mean (new tires..so 0 miles..??), new battery, one, two three months old? Not heckling, just want to understand what new eans exactly. Thanks.
All parts listed as new have roughly 100 miles on them which were put on over the course of 3 days. That is all the miles I have put on the car. It was put back on the road in December and the knock developed around the 95 mile mark.
The battery is less than a year old and has only been in the car a few months. Today was the first the car was started since the middle of December. It started with no signs of strain on the battery.
Not sure what your deffinition of new is but to me 100 miles/ 3 days of use is still new. I consider 0 miles as brand new/ unused. Sorry for any confusion that may have caused.
Your explanation was perfect, thx....I was just out that way, wish it was postec sooner....but then again taxes are comng in!
Do you have current pictures of the underside of the car?
Unfortunately I don't. It was raining yesterday when I took the pictures so I didn't feel like laying on the ground. I'm in MA for the next few days. I'll try to get it on a lift this weekend and take some pictures. Both me and the mechanic who inspected it were amazed at the shape of the undercarriage.
Car was SOLD today.
