    Ghetto header fitment..

    I had an idea..

any old header that more or less lines up..

    Plus...

Split flanges! (for spherical exhaust joints normally)

    There's some different style ones...

Figgering you may have to carve chunks out of the flange on the cannibalised header, to allow a little tweaking for pipe alignment say, or for bolt clearance.

I think it would be a good idea. But after I got done welding my pipes to it I would most like weld up the seams as well to prevent leakage. How much are those?

From a shiny chain parts store, sometimes $15 each, gonna go hunting for something reasonable in bulk though.

Oh if you're thinking of welding them on your pipes, them people do a full line of solid flanges, just looking at the catalog, so you could build up a flange with those...

I was thinking of leaving original flange on a header, and using those over teh top with long studs, think you only need about a quarter inch all round the port meeting the gasket to seal it..

350z manifolds line up but there are also 3000gt options that might work if you cut off the flange and used those flanges (since their motor is backwards from ours) and then some changes on the front to rear bank connection. That GM header that Kirk ran in his Duster is also out there.
