    wipers won't park

so, turned on the wipers today, bushing for passenger side broke, so only drivers side going. When I turned off the wipers the left one stopped middle of the window. Got the bushing, installed, re assembled, and although they work fine, they will stop the minute I turn them off, mid sweep. Worked totally fine before this bushing broke. So doubt it's a module. Any advice? it's making me annoyed.

took the motor transmission apart, and cleaned everything, and bent the contacts a touch so they wopuld make good contact, lubed everything and tried it. it works perfectly now. there was a lot of build up on the contacts inside the transmission part.

Keep an eye on them. The ground for the wiper motor goes through that bracket it's on and passes through a piece that goes around the rubber bushing and to the body. That strap can fail and cause intermittent problems. I had one that I would just need to tap with a screwdriver handle for a bit to loosen it up in the case though.

Good find, I didn't have any ideas earlier apart from "Pull that crap apart and see what's going on"

But now I can play "Captain Hindsight", I guess the new bushing might have just pulled the shaft up a bit, thus moving the contacts off their narrow clean track.
