    what size fuel line?

Well, I'm trying to decide on what size fuel line to run on this Omni project. It has the hybrid engine and the head is ported. I was thinking 3/8 line. What fuel line is everybody running? What horse power can be supported by what size fuel line? Is 1/2 line too big? How about the return line?

3/8 will support north of 1200HP with a 10ft run for an approx 3 psi pressure drop from pump pressure at max flow (regulated at rail). A quarter inch is just under half the area of that so should easily do 500HP, but if you wanna feel "comfortable" I doubt you'll max 5/16.

Many run the stock sizes, but if you really want to do it, 3/8 feed and return.

3/8 aluminum line is very reasonably priced through speedway motors out hear in Nebraska. It's like a dollar a foot. (~)

aluminum line is going to corrode very quickly underneath a car. 3/8 supply and using the original 5/16 supply as the return seems to work well. just cap the 1/4 original return at either end.

No doubt. Although ethanol isn't that bad it'll still attack the inside of it too. Unless it's anodized I would pass.

Doubt it will attack the inside so bad, or we'd see a lot of cars with rotted out intakes and heads.

However, yes, it would get galvanic corrosion wherever it meets steel, so if you mounted it with plastic clips, it probably wouldn't rot out any faster than a steel line.... provided it didn't touch anywhere.

I agree to an extent. I think it would be much worse in the fuel line due to the fact that it sits in there in liquid form. I don't think there is much puddling with the stock type EFI setup in the intake or head.

there is no doubt that you must use precaution when using aluminum fuel line. I am not worried about corrosion. (although it would be wise to change it out every 5 years) I am not worried about pressure. The psi limit for aluminum fuel line is 250 PSI. What you have to worry about is work hardening. All lines must be mounted in rubber lined adel clamps. You must end the run with a length of rubber line like from a bullhead.etc

3/8 supply and using the original 5/16 supply as the return
