    Cam gear option

First i guess i don't know why you have to switch cam gears from the stock 2.4? is it the teeth size and or shape?

Second could these work, at only $107 even use the center section on some 8v gears could be a cheaper option??
    Or will it not work

2.0L cams gears are the same as the 2.4 but you turn them around for each engine or something like that, can't remember exactly right now. Not sure why they did that,

8 valve is the wrong diameter and wrong teeth pattern if memory serves and TIII totally wrong. Someone used a Honda/Nissan gear IIRC. I need some sleep, lol.

If you wanted to go the cheap route, use any cam gear that use a Gates T-249

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...1&keyword=t249 - Link will give you a list of compatible vehicles. I was able to find a Pathfinder in the junkyard. I also had the cam gears machined to fit the 2.0/2.4 cams.

Use OE 8v gears with a brass spacer on the inside - easy, cheap - I did.

Do you have any details on what needs to be done to the gears? I've got most of the parts for a hybrid laying around and I think I've got two spare round tooth cam gears.
