Good to see you making progress on it. One thing that helps is to make achievable goals to not get overwhelmed or start to loose interest. (And I say that to remind myself the same thing!)
Maybe one day all us old timers will have our projects back out. Would be nice to see us all at Cecil again.

And as far as your "love bite"... I would take 5 of those over the pain I felt when I rolled the creaper over my flowing golden locks when working on my projects. That hurt so bad I could have almost punched a nun in the face!

Lol... old timers reunion would be great! Back when the internet was new. The old Turbo Dodge Mailing List.

I agree the biggest hurdle in any project is getting strarted. I think I am officially over that now.

This is not the worst injury the car has given me. That scar I wear across the bridge of my nose, where the edge of a roughly chopsawed piece of exhaust pipe fell on my face. There may have actually been more blood than ATF on the floor at that time.

Anyway, I am on my way now. A few small steps to away from getting the engine and trans out. A stubborn starter bolt, axles and shifter linkage.

Gloves, man! and/or cutting the excess of those fasteners off...that's what I did...helps make it easier and a little more room back there. (oh..and a few grams of weight savings as it was back when Gary Donovan was trying to get his DD Daytona in the 13's)

Having had long hair (down to my belt) for 7 years, I can very much relate to that! It SUCKS. Oh, and when you drag it through whatever fluid is on the ground (even though you tried like hell to keep it off the ground) and it instantly becomes a sponge and a paintbrush...ATF is the absolute worst. (well, unless it was used gear oil)

Ah yes...those were the days! I remember when the mailing list was moved to the forum interface. I hated it at first. Now it just makes so much sense!

Keep rockin' on this thing! I love this car!

    Re: The Contraption 2013-14

I have to say, Mike, driving your S last year inspired me to get moving again.
And while the budget is tight and my car having such a rough history even before I owned it will never be as nice as yours and others, it should still be a lot of fun.

I don't think SDAC would be complete without a battle of the 16v l-bodies.

    That's not a battle, that's a duo. 3 or more for a real battle.......if only there were one more 16v l-body out there......hmmmmm.
