A little setback. I love Lbodies. Might as well fix it before I put the dash back in.

A little setback indeed. You may have the 2015 award for least rust in an L body wheel well seam east of the Mississippi wrapped up.

I'll add that I did get the lighting harness figured out. Starting with a carb'd harness, I pretty much pulled out everything that wasn't related to lighting out of the 40-way. I'm able to route wires for the passenger side lighting along the rad support instead of the firewall to keep the wires away from the turbo. All other functions will be controlled by the megasquirt which will have it's own wiring harness. Purchased all I need to start building that. That stuff should be arriving this week. Still need to figure out exactly where I am going to mount the ECM, but it seems like the center hump would make the most sense.

I had Brian weld up some bungs for me for the coolant temp sensor and charge temp sensor.

Definitely the hump for the ecu mount. Water won't run down or puddle there. :-)

It's the factory default footwell elimination device for areas that don't use salt.

Some. I fixed the rust. Filled some holes in the firewall. Got the body wiring harness pretty much done. Still working on the megasquirt wiring. Got some exhaust parts coated. Still lots to do, and time is short.

Yup. Headed to Englishtown for the Spring Nationals this weekend. Gonna try to run the 9.70 index class on the street tune just to get some passes on it. If she feels good and I get eliminated, I'll turn the wick up to 20psi. How's your car coming?

    Re: The Contraption 2013-14-15

Truth is progress is being made, slowly. I've been out of town the past two weekends. Took a day off yesterday to work on it. Got some more wiring done. The head is complete so the engine should be ready for assembly. Working on mounting the trans cooler today.
I hope to have it ready for testing at SDAC, but if it's not close, I am not going to rush it.
