Something as simple as the S3 SRT setup can make enough power for your goals based on weight so I think you will have enough turbo. I hope it all runs properly in the end. I don't think I agree on the complication issue once you get passed wiring of megasquirt or something else. I left a megasquirt unit on the shelf for years because I didn't want to wire it (I did not feel I could handle it) and I think that delay was silly after I eventually changed my mind and tried installing. Never getting things just right with your tune over a period of years or calling off improvements because "it finally works well enough" is something you regret after the fact. I don't think DJ would have his straightforward success if he did not go with something he had full control of. Straightforward complete engine control feels like a luxury after dinking around in depths of hackery. I like it enough that I get tempted at times to buy something much fancier (updated version 2 AEM etc) for a car I have not driven in 2+ years :P I like the idea of cheap parts with an excellent support system. Get the most of of the least. You can always take that stuff and move it onto a different vehicle so the money spent is not up in smoke. At the least some kind of Rom flashing ability or whatever people do now on TD's

Subscribed! I really want to see how this car evolves!
You're right. I've considered it. The expense of Bs3 would push the project back considerably. It's not off the table tho. I am reading about MS3. Maybe I need to read things a few times before I fully understand things. Am I right in understanding that I can configure the settings to read oe 2.4 cam and crank sensors?

Yes. I'm using a stock crank and cam sensor and there is code to read the new ones (can't remember the name) depending what year 2.4 you use.

You will only need the cam if you're planning on sequential injection or ignition.

Glad to see you made the commitment. looking forward to how it all comes together
I would keep some kind of journal about how your controller setups goes for your exact setup (including any digital settings) because when you step away from it for extended periods its hard to get back into. Also draw/mspaint up your own wiring diagram for anything you wire. The wiring diagram I did helped make the install easy. It was the diagram that was a challenge. I need to update mine but its good for troubleshooting as well. I redid all my engine bay wiring, ditched the fuse panel, etc. Before that I did a piggyback setup just to see if I could even get the car to run. By piggyback I mean I sat the MS unit on the top of the engine and wired it up :P

39 posts and nothing?
Agreed on the wiring diagrams, I've referenced mine many times. Just make sure you don't make errors or it can take you weeks to figure out why your new sequential fuel and spark isn't working............so I've heard.
