My first mtx-l failed in two weeks. The replacement died last summer. I was trying to save saves few bucks and it really screwed me. I felt like zeitronix was too expensive when it was to not on a serious car. The old zt-2 is crazy reliable on sensors and can be repaired in house for cheap. I fried my 2005 model in 2007 and they repaired and updated it for $35 in 2 weeks slow ship. No Chinese junk replacement mailed back to you like innovate.

Thanks, Adam. I am hoping for more progress for you as well! Hopefully we'll finally get that blue Lbody group photo together. Just tuck mine in the back. It'll be the ugliest.

Is it the sensor that fries, or is it the gauge electronics?
All the talk now about the MTX-L being crappy is scaring me a bit since I'm hanging my hat on one in Mini. It is the sole O2 for my ECU.

I've owned probably 6 wide bands by now but I got most of them with cars or in larger parts purchases. I've owned 3 innovates and 2 of them have dead controllers. One of them I haven't tried running in years so I'm only not counting it dead because it hasn't been verified..

    Re: The Contraption 2013-14-15-16

Just to give an update, as it has been a while. Lots of nickle and dime stuff that I want to get right. But the car is very close to road worthy now.

Friday night I tested my intercooler water circuit. Because of the near horizontal orientation of the cooler, there would have been a pocket of trapped air above the water outlet. I ran a 1/4 clear tube from as close to the highest point as I could, back to the reservoir, keeping the this tube as the highest point. Pretty stoked that it works as intended and bleeds the air out. I am not sure yet if I'll even be able to hear it with the engine running, but with the pump running, it sounds like an electric toilet flushing behind my dash board! Haha

I don't doubt it for a second. What I really wonder is if you've made it to where the hood will fit with no modification? Pins I assume?

Nice job. That kind of quality work is usually only from the hands of a true sandwich artist.
