Yeah I like it too. The only issue is that if we go that route, the SMEC would need to be relocated. That would also give the opportunity to keep the engine compartment a bit cleaner though.

Yeah it seems to work well in all the other guys' cars. Should work fine for me too. That's Brian's handiwork, of course.

Very nice! What size throttle body are you going with?

(am I the only one that looks at the backgrounds of the pictures taken at Brian's shop to see if I can catch any "top secret" stuff? LOL)

I'm trying to keep costs under control without really cutting corners. To that end, I will likely be pushing back the debut until Spring. This way I will not feel rushed to get the car running for a particular date or event.
In talking to Brian today, I was telling him that so much of this car was put together as last minute additions to have the car ready for the November Cecil event. There was more than one year I remember scrambling to get the car finished with Halloween movies playing in on the TV in the garage. That's one of the reason the wiring and stuff turned out to be a mess. It was not a carefully planned build. It was a series of add-ons. Now I'd like to take my time and wire it up cleanly. And while the body of the car is a long way from pretty, and will never be a show car, I do want to have it look nice and neat under the hood.

I'll likely be going with Megasquirt. If money were no object, I would definitely go with BigStuff, if for no other reason than I have a great local resource in Brian to get me started with it, but I have plenty more to do to the car, and if I am going to stick with a budget I am comfortable with, then I need to stick with something lower priced. I honestly do not feel like it would be scrimping to do this. For one, there is a wealth of knowledge on Megasquirt in the community. DJ and Dean have both had great success with it as have others. 2nd, MS' ability to use stock type sensors for the cam and crank, and even the stock 2.0/2.4 coil pack make for real conveniences.

Thanks, but we both know I can take little credit for anything so far.

I'm sure Brian would be happy to! I'll ask him to keep all the dimensions on file for the next one he needs to build!

Going with a 65mm Ford throttle body. I could upgrade to a 75mm later if needed. I don't think it will be though.

Things continue moving along! Brian has the intake manifold and fuel rail complete. Looks awesome!

That big aluminum box is the ice water box for the intercooler.

The turbo should be here next week hopefully.
