splitting open a sun visor for recover

How hard is it to slit open a sun visor so it can be recovered if possible?

I'm guessing your talking about the Lbody style visors make out of the hard plastic not the cardboard version? I've recovered plenty of those in the past and I would always just use a thin screw driver and a body filler spreader to insert the material into the grove tucking it in tight that way and it always came out great. pry the sunvisor SLIGHTLY cause the plastic pin clip set up will break and use the spreader to tuck in place, and the pressure of the covers will hold the headliner in place. I'll talk to a buddy of mine and ask if he still has any pics..
