    OZ Racing Monte Carlo 17x8 - 5x114.3

    Price: $400

    Description:

I have a set of OZ Racing Monte Carlo 17x8 wheels. I believe they are a +30 offset, I can measure backspacing for you.

5x114.3 bolt pattern. I like them a lot, but don't have anything with that bolt pattern anymore :/ I understand no turbo-mopars are this bolt pattern, but figured I'd offer them up anyway. With the offset they have, you could run adapters and have a good looking wheel on your car...or for any of the 5x114.3 minis out there...

Looking for $400. Some have some curb rash, but are not bad. From what I have seen, these are pretty hard to come by, and were $400 a piece new.

I have two 215/40/17 Yokohamas I could throw in for another $50 if anyone was interested. Near new tread.

But...here's a pic of the best and the worst one. Very good looking wheels. I'll clean them up well and get some more pics.

    Best -

    Worst -

Some mini-molesters are "close enough" with 2nd gen bigger bolt pattern. Simon's always complaining he never sees decent wheels in that size.

Those would look and fit very good on a 5x114.3 van. They can use that offset more than the cars anyway. With +30 AND a spacer/adapter they wouldnt fit on ANY of the cars, but on the vans with no spacers they would look good. Ive seen several 5x114.3 vans with LX-platform wheels and that looks really good (similar fitment on outside of wheel to these).

They make adapters as thin as 15mm. That make it a 15mm offset on an 8" wheel. They'd fit. I run a +20mm offset on a 8.5" wheel.

Now the fact they're 17s, probably be better on a g-body however.

But would look awesome on a mini.

I'd rock them on a green 2nd gen AWD swapped to 3.0 and 5 speed, with the tan leather interior, packed full of "Dad's chewy oatmeal choc chip" cookies and personally delivered by Diane Kruger ... but I'm broke so I guess I'll just have to dwell on this moment at 90 in the nursing home as one of life's great missed opportunities.

What car, tire diameter, and lowering? Ive found you cant run a wheel that far out unless the car isnt that low. I had to roll the fender lips to tuck tire on my 17x8 +35s.

Omni. 215/40/16. Lowered some, I'll probably roll the fenders.

I'll be running them on my GLHS soon...so I'll keep you posted on that.

    And +25...sorry about that.

And from my research, these OZ's appear to be +32. Seems to be the common place. Would someone have the ability to figure out the offset if I supplied back space info?

You can figure out offset from wheel width and backspace, so yeah.

First person with $225 takes them.

I haven't had one person interested and I honestly don't know how. I wish I had something with this bolt pattern.

Awesome deal gettin' awesomer... If I had them sitting here, I'd be tempted to convert my mini just to put them on.... as it is, I've got fresh tires on it that should be good for 3 years.

Do you know the weight of the wheels, per?

Re: OZ Racing Monte Carlo 17x8 - 5x114.3

The interwebs is telling me 19lb each for the bare rim, and close to 50lb with MEATY tires on like 275s... but with 215s or 225s, I'd imagine they'd come out a few pounds under a pumper with 215s or 225s (mine weigh 45lb with a 65 profile 215, but less sidewall would be less)

    ^^^What he said...lol

Also, I measured them and did a backspace to offset calculator. Looks to be between +30 and +35 offset.

Re: OZ Racing Monte Carlo 17x8 - 5x114.3

They are tempting, really. Just converted the car to 5x114.3 and the weight isn't bad either. My wheels with 225/35's are like 35lbs per wheel? Whatever it was, it was about 7lbs lighter than a stock 15" wheel and tire combo.

What car did you convert and how? Lol. But they would look very good. If I had one that was 5x114.3 I'd love to run them.

The one in my signature. Took some spindles off a 99 Concorde LHS and had them machine 'em down. The bolt spacing where it mounts to the axle on these is larger, so you have to slot them to the smaller pattern. But if I did it over, I'd take the stock spindle and these and have them match the bolt pattern (where it mounts to the axle). I did that manually with a drill and 3 drill bits, yes it took three because I was impatient and didn't do it the proper way, slowly. But that was the hardest part. Everything else worked as intended. And if I come into some money, I'll get them. I just don't need them right now and being as I'm trying to move, I don't need to accumulate any more parts. Great deal on a set of wheels though.

    ^^^Very cool.

But bump! Still got them. Need them gone asap! Moving to Florida, can't take all this crap with me. $225 for the wheels. $275 with the two Yokohamas. I'll even throw in an extra 17" tire as well if you want it. Very good tread just have no mates to it.
