Is it necessary if all the emmissions stuff and c/c is removed, and the only stuff using vacume are the boost gauge fuel regulator, w/g, MAP.
Thank You

Do you mean the charcoal canister, or the vacuum canister that is used for cruise etc.
The Vacume Canister located in the front pass side of the engine bay down in front of the tire that vacume lines are hooked too.
I looked it up in my manual and found that it isn't necessary.
Now my engine bay is nice and organized, atleast when it comes to vacume lines.
It is a charcoal canister...

you have it the way I do.
Doesn't the canister supply vacuum for the brake booster if the motor is off?
No its the charcoal canister on the inner fender it is for emissions.Originally Posted by Avenger
It collects gas fumes from the fuel tank while the car is sitting. They get pulled into the intake during the canister purge cycle. If you are going to remove it, don't connect the fuel tank vent to the throttle body. You might also want to screen the vent or something to keep dirt and critters out.
