Hoosier SDAC 2013 thread.

Our 2013 kickoff meeting will be January 12th at City Barbeque in Greenwood. We'll be discussing several plans for this year. This should be an exciting year and I hope everyone will be able to attend. Please RSVP by replying to this thread or email hoosiersdac@yahoo.com so I know how many seats to plan on.

I can't confirm or make any promises but I'm going to try to be there, George. (with family or without) I'd like to get involved and help plan and organize. I am one of a few that is still around locally that was at SDAC-8 which was the last time SDAC was hosted in Indy. (The one in Indiana! )

I will volunteer my new place in the country with 3 acres on the north side for a Pre-Party "Welcome" on Friday night as has started being the trend in SDAC events. Easy to find, plenty of room, and no Home Owners' Association to make mad!

Ok long time no update. We are in final prep mode for SDAC, and I need to know who can volunteer to help run the event. I'm changing the date to May 10th, my work schedule won't let me do Saturdays anymore. I'm sending out an email with all the info today.

I'm trying to have more shirts made, we tried this last year and it failed to start. What I'm doing is collecting the money from everybody at the meeting then having them done for SDAC. If you can't make it and want a shirt PM me and I'll get the money from you.

George, I can't guarantee I can make it on Friday night. I'm way over my head in remodling the shower at my house (LONG story) and I have to have it done before guests come in a week. I would like a shirt and am willing to help with some stuff for SDAC-23. I will try to be there. Please count me in for a shirt...Fleckstra Large (3X).

For July, I'm back to working 6 days a week. This makes Friday and Saturday difficult to plan for. I'm wanting everyone's input on whether or not Sunday July 14th would work for and if so what time (earlier or later) would be better. I'm also looking for some different places to go, so let me know if you have any ideas.


As it stands for right now the plan is:

This is subject to change if the majority aren't able to work with that date.

Also if I have enough interest I think we will try the north side again. I know I talked to a few folks at SDAC that are further north and seem interested. I need input on when/where though.

What if we were to have a meeting at Cheesburger Paradise at I-69 & 96th St? That's NE Indy, and saves me 1/2 an hour drive each way. As far as when, I'm open to suggestions.

We are leaving for vacation Sunday afternoon sometime after going to a firends' kid's birthday party. Even if it would be at Cheesburger In Paradise, which isn't far from where the party is at, I still probably won't be able to make it.

I'll be drag racing at Indy...NHRA Div 3 ET Bracket Finals...US Nats had 766 cars...this event has 1000! The top prequalified 40 cars/bikes from each of the 25 Div 3 tracks run as teams against other tracks for pts. Won with Matchbox in 87 when there was 189 cars in my class...currently qualified 4th.
