what to do about fuel roll over valve?

What are you guys doing for fuel rollover valves when you get a new gas tank? (Besides re-using the old one)

I thought that I had found the oem part on a web site so after placing my order I threw away the old tank and valve, only to find out… you guessed it… that the valves were discontinued.

Are they available anywhere else? I searched Marty's (Az parts) site and came up empty there too.

    It's for a '92 iroc r/t, part #4495069, and the gasket is 4002149.

    Josh,
I oiled the oring ring it sits in and gently pulled it out of old tank and re-used it on new fuel tank I put in Mark C's. fathers GLHT. It was still in perfect shape. That was about the only part that was re-used though.

I can't re-use mine though, I threw it away when the order went through and I thought I was going to be able to get a new one. Do you have any extras laying around that you'd sell?

Hey Josh, just so happens that yesterday I removed and a replaced a tank for a 92 Daytona...you wanna see if I can carefully extract that valve? If I remember correctly it's green.

Paul, that would be awesome, please! The one that I had was green too.

I'm not going to hold my breath in case it breaks, but if you get it out and would be willing to sell it to me, I would definitely appreciate it!

Thanks 135sohc, I actually did see that thread while doing some research and that was my fall back plan, but I might be on plan b now...

I like to have spares when it comes to parts like this, so this might be the best route to go.

Re: what to do about fuel roll over valve?

Hey Josh I got it out. I did chip a small piece of the plastic on the outside of the valve, but that has nothing to do with how it operates...the rubber seal is ok too.

Cover the cost of shipping and it's yours...PM your address and I'll send it out tomorrow morning

Sorry about that, I wasn't notified of them being full? Anyhow, I got a few cleaned out, should be ok now.

what to do about fuel roll over valve?

Old thread, but I just went through this and found these parts that work.

Both Crown Automotive Part numbers. Not listed for our applications, listed for Jeeps. but I got them and they fit.

Re: what to do about fuel roll over valve?

good deal. I used that about 5 years ago but I'm lucky if I know where I'm going now.

    or where I am.

We need a parts section in the knowledge center?!

Re: what to do about fuel roll over valve?

Dorman 911-060 is a replacement for the valve.

Which crosses over to Ford E7DZ9B593-A if you want to buy an OEM spec part. Ford part number F6TZ9B076AA for the grommet which crosses over in the aftermarket to the chrysler number.
