New rectangular Stainless side exhaust exit

Just finished my rectangular side exhaust outlet. What do you think?

I had a 3" pipe hanging down that was hitting the ground for the last year.

Not bad dude! I personally would make it flush with the ground effects and put a canter in it, so it is like the following...

of course it is just my opinion....

    Frank

Nice Idea I think I will take you up on that. A friend of mine suggested I cut it off flush and I like the slant cut too.

Nice job on the exhaust, we were thinking of doing a turndown on my Son's Lancer Shelby, but since you have this all figured out......

    Nice.
If I don't end up going with an over-the-axle pipe on the Sundance, I need to do something similar. The end of the pipe is really getting hammered because it hangs so low.

Re: New rectangular Stainless side exhaust exit

Thanks, hopefully I can get around to cutting the slant into it. But like most of my projects they get around 95% complete and Im off to another one. The car needs new tires and I dont want to buy 15" tires. I have a set of 16" pumpers and was thinking about painting them with Black urethane. How would black pumpers look on a shelby lancer???????

Clay, how's going as FP1 engr? need to get my butt over there. Still in the mid to upper 30's in MPG

    Tracy,
Saw you standing in that hole at the Nats. I wanted to go there but had a wedding and funeral on saturday. Maybe Ill make it out to Edgewater soon.

Then ya need to do it better, cause my Tona has 3" straight out the side with 90 suspension (drops the front end 3/4" vs. 87 suspension) and Koni's and Eibachs. The apt complex next to me has nasty huge speed bumps and it still won't scrape the pipe.

Looks great, and it beats the heck out of having to run it to the rear. Much less work involved, and proabably sounds great.

Can we get a sound clip?
