    Description:
I have for sale a set of good used Venolia 2.5 turbo pistons. They are 040 overs with .912 pins and double spiral locks. They have some light pitting on some of the tops and very light scuffing on the skirts. These came out of a running engine that I was going to sell the complete bottom end but the piston to wall clearance was just a little to much for my liking. I have cleaned them and they should be ready for a final clean and install. The one pic shows the one with the most pitting on top. These do not come with rings. Thanks for looking

FYI, these use the standard 2.2/2.5 ring set of 1.5mm x 1.5mm x 4.00 mm so ring sets are readily available!!

Working on being 007 and being 040 already I would say that might be the end of that block. Its too bad cause it had good looking bearings and main studs and a good shot peened 2.5 crank. Ran pretty good and compression numbers were good. I didnt want to sell it as a runner to someone and not have to live long. So im just gonna sell off the pieces.....

Gotcha, yeah .007 was probably pretty rattly cold Although Venolias supposedly swell more than others when hot. Was it noisy warm, or did it quieten down? Curious because I have a set of Venolia flat-tops I plan on using in a project and will need to figure out PTW specs for them.

Hard to tell actually cause the car had an old MP purple slider cam in it and it didnt idle well so it was hard to tell what was making the noise lol. If I were you I would go 005-0055 with new Venolias. Thats what I tell the machine shop when I have them machine my/customers engines. They are a "hotrod" shop and say thats where they would put them for the application anyways. I had Venolias and JEs tested of metalurgical makeup a few years back and they were as close to identical as you could come. I wish I had a Wiseco that day to get all three vendor brands....

I set mine up at .007" and it sounded like a diesel. I ordered a custom set
.005" larger (thanks Cindy!) and set them up at .004". Much better.

Don't set them at .007", that's max spec, set them at .0035" or .004".
