    A555 With Shift Linkage

I'm new to the forums and am trying to find out if it's possible to use an A555 transmission with shift linkage in my 1985 GLH Turbo, or do I have to use a cable setup? From what I can find, it looks like I have to use cables from a P-body and route them a very specific way.

    I appreciate any help.

You can absolutely use the rod shifter on the 555. There are obviously some modifications needed, but it's the best option IMO. I'll try and search to find a link with some how to action.

Thank you very much. I'll post some pictures of my car later. About two and a half months ago, I purchased a GOLD 1985 GLH Turbo. The car has 97,000 miles on it and absolutely no rust. The interior is very clean as well. I'm in the process of getting parts together for the engine and transmission in order to rebuild a new one.

That is awesome. Gold has got to be the rarest color for the GLH turbos. I can't wait to see the pics.

Wow. That thing is nice. Is that a dealer installed sunroof, or aftermarket?

Here is a video I made for the shift rod kit from Great Lakes Hotrod. I'm still using the 525 due to the car being NA, but the process will be similar for the rod portion.
