Next round gonna be 1/2" NPT???
Next round gonna be 1/2" NPT???
Ha! I dont know if I will be making another round. I know I always say that, but....
Seems like interest dies out and then re-surges after 6 months or so. If I can get a dozen people on board I'll make another batch.
I forget why they were 3/8" npt to begin with..there might be a reason. Or maybe not..might just be that the AN fittings for the original kits were alot cheaper at 3/8 size? Dunno..
I think 3/8 NPT hole is just fine. I plugged the coolant return under the thermostats housing and used the 4th coolant plate port for coolant return instead. I don't use heater core here in AZ so heater core is not connected. It gave me more space for clearance and better packaging. Temperature is stable and I don't have any cooling issue, but 110F summer was just over so I'll have to wait for next summer to declare a full success.
okay I have two left..both were previously installed on my Daytona
One is the "thermostat" style, which includes a length of ss braided hose, and AN fittings. This allows you to connect the 4th cyl adapter plate directly to the bleeder port on top of the thermostat box. Note, you will probably need to remove your valve cover to install the 90 degree fitting on the waterbox, because it hits when you rotate it. $55 shipped!
The other is I believe one of the first prototypes, it is only single bolt, and much thinner than the 2 bolt version. I had it installed for several thousand miles with no problems though. Comes with a 90 degree AN fitting already installed. $30 shipped!
Both come with new orings!
both will require at the very least, two M10 bolts and washers
the adapter only one will need fittings and hoses and what not depending on how you want to hook it up (ask around and you'll get lots of advice)
the thermostat one should be ready to go for a bleeder-port install, you'll just need the bolts and washers
I'm parting out the car its on thats why I'm selling it
probably the thermostat one
ill take one on the next batch if that happens, i need these on all my motors...
