Was reminded today that my Daytona was converted over to Neon strut mounts when we went to coil overs. So, things are way to complex for me to order anything. I'll have to make it.

If you'd just run your mouth a little more from the bench I would even be willing to make you your own website.

No, the domain expired. It was worth $10 but not $20 . Arguably the best $10 I've ever spent.

I still have the site on the server though, just no domain.

I'm expecting Lengel to actually race his car, not just sit in it and make race noises.

Seriously I'll buy one today. I've wanted one of these just like this design for a long time. I'm ready for one!

Re: Gauging interest in 3-point L-body strut tower bar

what is the general consensus on using the firewall as a 3rd mount point for a strut bar? would sheet metal cracking be an issue down the road with focusing a load point in a small area with not much structure supporting the sheet metal in the cowl area? i have pondered using most of the flange that the (in my case) the cowl cover and the rubber gasket mount to to create a 3rd mounting point.
just curious, not trying to sound like an undermining jerk.

I thought about this. It would probably be best to not just bolt the STB to the firewall but to sandwich it in some way. Some big washers probably won't be enough. But what the hell do I know?

Firewalls and core supports crack. Anything to beef these areas up would likely be helpful.

I feel that it would only strengthen the firewall. The bar is provided with a plate along with the bolts that is fastened from the cowl side. This provides a sandwiched design. The firewall at the attachment point is double layered sheet metal from the factory.

I will put a list in the first post with the folks that are interested, if you want one from the first batch let me know in this thread and I will put you in. Thanks Guys!
