    What size brake line?

What size brake line and what is the fitting where the brake line meets the flexible brake line in the front of a 87 CSX?

    Thanks,
    Frank

---------- Post added at 11:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:58 PM ----------

And the fitting at the proportioning valve for that same line.

    Thanks,
    Frank

Are both front lines at the proportioning valve that same 3/8-24 fitting or is one of them 7/16?

The front passenger side line is 7/16-24 at the prop valve.

    Re: What size brake line?

Thanks! I just bought some brake line to bend in on both sides. I will need to get an adapter then at the prop valve.

    Re: What size brake line?

Frank I've got a bender and a real flaring tool if you wanna meet up sometime and make new lines from one piece of stock and have it be the exact length without cobbling something together. I would just need a secured vise to mount it in.

It has its limitations but does work for most bends.

    Re: What size brake line?

Thanks for the link. I had a hydraulics friend back when that had the mother of all tubing benders and I didn't catch the make. I could make a curly Q out of tube with that thing all day long. I know they're expensive, but I'd like to look into one.

Imperial is the big one that comes to mind. I have seen others that will bend tighter but there limited to one size only tools and not as nice to use.

Thanks for the info. A couple of those look similar to what I had used. Those had the swivel handle too.
