Seems to be in acceptable shape. Paint and a little TLC should make it great.

I may be wrong but I thought all 1987 CSX's for black only the 1988 Thriftys were white
Repaint? Rebody? It has the correct wheels for '87, the dash plaque is correct for '87 too, '88's read "CSX-T".

That's also the correct interior for '87- the same fragile cloth used on the '86 GLH/GLHS.
The guy claims it was in his shop for a re-paint. He says it was stripped and primed, but that's as far as he got.
It looks like there is some black showing on the roof and wing.
I've emailed him a couple times, if I can get it for a grand I might just have to head up that way.

Is that Charger in your sig the one Cindy had under a cloth for a long time at the shop? I remember lusting after it every day I walked in. Covered in dust but a perfect new paint job and head to toe restoration. My Spirit R/T intercooler was in the driver side floor pan for like 3 months.
Nice find, yeah, look sliek white paint over black...

it was listed for 1100 obo but then the ad was changed, looks like a nice car if it was in the garage all that time should look pretty good underneath
are you sure its #10 the dash looks like 510
Its one of the lowest number cars that I've seen. I can't recall ever seeing one earlier than #10. I'd be curious as to where 1-9 are.
I've always wanted to know the exact number of survivors for the various low production TD models. It'd be neat to see how many Iroc R/Ts are currently accounted for. Fewer than 500 cars made 20 years ago, there can't be very many left. I would guess less than half that. It might help us determine the fate of certain cars and maybe even find one that was forgotten about. One of my all time favorites are the coachbuilt Zagato Maserati A6G cars. Each car was unique because all the panels were hand formed and fitted. I want to say there were 50 or so built, but don't quote me. Anyway after an A6G Zagato enthusiast tried to find out where all the cars were he couldn't account for one. Chassis number 2121 was shown in a book in the 60s and was easily identified by its unique one off double bubble roof but the car, and its history, were absent. As it turns out, his quest to locate the missing car is what led to its re-appearance and rescue. It had been sitting in a storage unit in Italy stripped of its paint and aging. Not a single person had laid eyes on the car for over 30 years. The guy found the owner and after a couple years finally talked him into selling it. This car would have rotted away if nobody ever tried to account for it. What a shame it would have been.
I think its one of the prettiest cars in history.

You might be right, I thought it was "#10" but it could be 510.
What a beat up CSX.
besides the usual paint witch almost all of them need, its in pretty good shape imo, especialy for up here where you can usually see visible holes in the cars
That looks like a nice project, and it looks to have all the right stuff on it to be a real CSX. I bet it doesn't have floors like every other Shadow in the Northeast.
He claims its been in storage for 10 years after the body was stripped and primed, so it might be pretty solid. If he wasn't so darn far away I'd have already gone and looked at it.
