    idle issue

is there any way to bypass the ais and have the car idle normal? my car has a random idle. sometimes it idles good at 900-1000rpm. other times its at 1400-1500. it seems to be affected by speed. i get off the highway and throw it in netural and it idles high at a dead stop. i dont think the speed sensor is bad. my other omni had a bad speed sensor and it never messed with the idle. never threw a code either. or is the spark scatter making it idle high? how do you turn it off?

Nevermind. I figured it out. Took a saws all and cut the elbow off the 2 piece. Then JB welded on a cross fire injection throttle body from a 84 corvette on it. Took the afpr off and installed a JDM 94 civic sohc d15 vtec solenoid. Fixed it right up.

Yes, turn up the base idle at the throttle body. Just disconnect the IAC valve.

It was actually in the tune. Something screwy with the fuel baseline from map. Making it idle way too high. Leaned it out fixed it right up. But that's good to know. I'll have to give that a try.
