The guy in that Chevelle probably thought he had your a$$ in the bag! Excellent run, Rob.
It's really too bad the guy filming didn't get the whole race. Damn, I Really wanted to see Both cars as it's always nice when you get a good time vs something fast.
Still hoping someone else got it better, but ya, the Chevelle was ahead until just after the 330, then I go by and practically walk away from him going 143mph vs his 122? I think.
Great guy though. He came up to us after that race and said he was blown away by the top end charge of our car and gave us some crazy props! Very cool to say the least!

A man has got to know his limitations.....
I know up in detroit you can get turbo blue (110 octane) out of gas stations at the pump.

Ah you guys are funny as ever! lol FWIW I could run this tune at 39 psi on 110, so if that's pump
Only reason I've been running 116 octain is I never know how high I'm going to go with boost and just want to have the best (or one of) fuel I can to run as safe as possible.
First run was actually a 50/50 cut of 116 and pump 91 cause I didn't feel like draining the tank........

Congrats. As a guy that spent a entire season knocking on the door of a 13 second pass (many 14.0's) I know how frustrating it is to be so close to that next number yet so far away! Also, it amazes me how stock your car looks yes still has that in it. You need to start street racing that thing for some $$$!!!
Hey, Rob...you ever consider running alcky injection so you can run 91 and not have to worry about race fuel?
I do realize there are plusses and minuses to both. I'm sure you've thought it out, just wondering what your opinion on it is. I do agree...NO BOTTLE!!!
Just throwing it out there, but I was consistently slower on pump gas and alky than I was on straight race gas. Maybe with better tuning it would be OK, but pumping enough alky to run the boost without knock, I'd be slower, even if I leaned out the fuel. I supposed I could have taken out some spark, but who wants to do that? :-)
I eventually ditched the alky and never looked back.

Understood! There are only 2 reasons my car has alky:
#1: safety for running high boost on pump gas for long periods for road courses.
#2: It helped keep the charge very cool even in scourching Florida summer heat (even though it has a FMIC)
I will say on the chassis dyno it made NO difference in either hp or tq or the curves with it on or off on back-to-back pulls. Now, I didn't attempt any kind of tuning adjustments either, so I might have been leaving some on the table with either set-up. I also did not try to heat soak it to see if the alky helped in that case at all. I've always kept my car held back a bit because it is my only other mode of transportation and if I broke it, I usually didn't have the money or time to fix it. I'm sure it is capable of a lot more than what I've ever gotten out of it, but I'm ok with that! It's treated me well thus far!
I think if you skipped breakfast, and took a poop before your pass, you would have had a 9.99.
