Agreed. But the BRZ weighs 300lbs more than the GLHS (2800 vs 2500). If the GLHS had to meet modern standards (airbags, electronics, impact ect.) that advantage would evaporate.

Sweet. Let us know what you think. If he's not watching, see if it can break loose and drift in the parking lot.

No way. 2450 for a stock TI omni with AC is a pretty good estimate.

I'm pretty sure my cousin has scales he uses for his carts and legends cars. I might steal them and see how much my glh weighs.

My 86 glht weighed 2220 with out me in it. Without back seats and no ac. Flying J scale verified. they actually keep their scales fairly accurate. Current one supposed to weigh 2100 with a driver. I doubt that.

Sorry I'm a week late to this thread but didn't know I'd been quoted. That Pat Culkin guy who went on to win the GRM Challenge 2012, was not as quick around the track as the BRZ in any of the runs I watched. To be fair tho, I didn't stay the whole day so anything could have changed in the afternoon. My 86 GLHS got schooled by both FR-S's last time I had it out. I agree that it's apples to oranges tho

Hehe. And probably a full tank of fuel would bring it in over 2500lb.
