    P-Body window channel

I am looking at replacing the window channels on my 1989 CSX. It is the part that wraps around the door were the window sits. Also need the clips that clip on the window that slide in the channel. These are on the door windows. Has any one replaced these? How do you do this? Also were do you buy them from Mopar or aftermarket? Any help would be great.

    Re: P-Body window channel

The rubber window channel is pretty universal across all model year P body cars AFAIK. I sold a pair from a 93 to a member here with an 89 and they said they fit just fine. The plastic piece that wraps around the glass should be available from any business that does automotive glass. The window channel is held in place by friction on the front portion of the door and where it goes up the A pillar and across the roof-line, its held in place with several small metal clips that are anchored into the door structure. proceed slowly with a small flat bladed screwdriver to unhook them and push the rubber portion to the side and you'll see them. Its really hard to explain without a picture.

As far as I know the are NLA and very pricey if you find a set of NOS ones. Always wondered how much they would charge for a set of them...

Hey Jon, I may have a set of NOS ones. You are talking about the channel in the door all the way around where the glass rides in correct? I have to get the part numbers to make sure.

Yes and I was talking about the ones for the window scrapers too, but I got some from of the Great Lakes restoration ones. Gonna take some more time to repaint what needs it, but it will be worth it in the long run. Let me know what you got and we can see what'll work out. Thanks man!

    4415346-7 R/L 1987-90 I don't have these

    4658280-1 R /L 1991-94 I have these NOS or used

above for 2 door and from a Mitchell crash book

this is the glass RUN,it is in the door frame and when the window is rolled up it keeps it tight along the sides and the top of the glass

    Re: P-Body window channel

I'm in need of these for my '89 CSX, too. My dealer has managed, we think, to find the driver's side rear channel. We'll know next week. He also located the other piece of channel that goes over the top edge of the window to the front edge, but only for the passenger's side.

I can probably get by without them, but ideally I'd also like to replace the passenger side rear channel and driver's side top/front channel. Does anybody have some used ones in any kind of decent shape?

I snapped a couple of pics of the driver's side one, which is pretty torn up.
