    External check engine light

Ok so the power loss/ check engine light isn't working on the race car. Tried 2 different clusters and bulbs etc. I can wiggle the bulb holder on the back of the cluster and it barely flashes on then off again. Is there any way to hook up a light to the wire besides the cluster?

I'd just wire an LED light into the factory wires, I wanna do this to my daytona since its hard to see the CEL while driving and trying to look at a wideband and egt gauge and the road!

That's how I would do it. What is the output voltage from the LM/SMEC/SBEC? 5V?

It should be 12 volts, 12 volt bulb, the cluster grounds the bulb and the computer turns it on.
