    89 Daytona Turbo help

I recently purchased a 1989 Dayona turbo ES and the turbo blew I believe due to how long it had been sitting. It was sitting not run for 8 years. And im wondering if a Chrysler Conquest turbo would be compatable or if not. What turbo should I find and run on this car?

I don't believe the turbo from a conquest will bolt right up. Our cars have a chrysler specific bolt patter which wasn't shared with the conquest/starion to the best of my knowledge (along with everything else not being shared).

You should put up a parts wanted post in the appropriate forum, or check out our vendors FWD performance and Turbos Unleashed.

    Welcome to the site.

Thanks very much! And anyone have any suggestions on what to replace the turbo with, or should I have the original repaired?

If you don't replace it with a mitsu I would get a TII turbo and be done with it.

+1. I think itd pay off to go ahead and get the TII if you have the money. Ive got an 89 Daytona CS TI car. I'll eventually be upgrading to the TII.
I'd go with FWDMotionINC.com if you want to buy the turbo. theyve got a really nice build guide if youre interested in it.

    Here is the build guide

Here's a list of the Turbos they offer, They even have some original Mitsu turbos I believe if you want to keep it stock!

What are your goals? If you just want a daily driver with no drag racing etc, just get another stock Mitusbishi turbo, if you want a bit more and plan on intercooling it, I'd go with the Garrett from www.turbosunleashed.com or www.fwdperformance.com and get the braided coolant and oil lines.

Also visit www.thedodgegarage.com for alot of info on our cars.
