Just run a turnbuckle and call it a day as far as the adjuster goes. That's what I'll be doing next time.

Turnbuckle arrived yesterday and will be installed soon. Of course, I forgot to order a fine thread jam nut, so I'll have to stop by the store and pick one up.

The charging problems appears to have been solved by the Nippon alternator upgrade. I now have 14.4V at idle. The old alternator *looked* ok, but the brushes were pretty worn and may not have been providing much field current. With that said, I did a full electrical check of my "bad" Nippon alternator and everything looked good on the unit. I think this alternator may have had the same problem (not enough spring pressure on the brushes).

I ended up using a shorter belt with this alternator due to me cutting the turnbuckle a little too short. I ended up using a 400 cm long belt vs the stock 425ish cm belt. I also removed all of the preload from the rod end/dogbone in order to help reduce vibration. I haven't determined if this helped, but I do know that fixing the exhaust hangers so the exhaust is fully isolated made a huge improvement.

The GLHS is parked for winter. I finally sorted out the charging system issue... turned out to be a failing power module. I drove the car to work for a couple weeks and no more problems! Once the weather is back above freezing I plan to re-do the paint on a couple panels, then decals will go on. I hope to have the car at SDAC this year.

The car didn't see a ton of action last year, but it did make it to a few autox events. It's a blast to drive and sure gets a lot of attention. I also look forward to driving it to work more often this year. If I get around to it I'll also paint the interior plastic this spring. After that and a windshield replacement the car will be more or less the way I want it (until it's time for more upgrades).

Planned upgrades are a reprogrammed ECM (converted to 87 LM and underhood MAP) and some modern street tires (mine are 10+ years old). Aside from that, I plan to just enjoy the car this summer.

Thanks! Yea this thing is in a million pieces. Parts are starting to go back in the engine bay and its awesome to put them back hopefully for a while.

I did do the wire conversion to T2 and underhood map while I was at it.
