L-body door weatherstrip substitute

I picked this up at Advanced Auto parts and installed it on the passenger door. Today it rained its azz off so when I got home
the first thing I checked is the floorboards, looked it worked. Paid about $29 and it only does one door. If your weatherstip is shot,
I would give it a try, probably works with other TM's too.

I tried that stuff before. It does work pretty well and is nice and soft but you may find at the top corner of the 'B' pillar where it makes a tight 90* turn that because the bulb cross section is larger it will have a tendancy to want to fold over and wrinkle on itself. The oem weatherstripping has rubber inserts glued into the bulb in the corners to prevent it from doing as such.

^ yea, I noticed that, I will miter that corner and glue the seam there.

Check the length of yours first, I only had a little more than a foot left doing the Omni.

I went to the site and poked around http://metrommp.com/

They don't list for our cars....they do have a lot of stuff. I don't know what our cars use exactly.

they do work with car clubs, maybe we could gather as a group and figure the closest item and make a group purchase. I imagine all of us could use some new stuff.

I went to look at the car earlier, and noticed that I don't have weather stripping along the perimeter of the door frame like the Omni, only around the top where the window meets, and then along the bottom on the door itself.

Guess I'll keep my eyes open for other options.
