I see no issue with a cast crank, so many going to 2.5 now running high power on the cast cranks.

My non-common block/cast crank/cast pistoned 2.2 has at least 30 runs in the deep 11's with a best of 11.01@125 in a 2350 race weight car. It regularly sees 6500+ while autocrossing.
So far, so good.
