I read this book. It has a lot of great info on the inside workings of Shelby's Whittier days.

I bought mine a couple of years ago. I couldn't put it down! Come to think of it... I should dig it out and read it again!

Just ordered mine.
I recall reviewing this book for the SDAC newsletter a few years ago. I didn't care much for his comments on others efforts, but I really didn't like the inaccuracy where he lists the cars Shelby did. To someone that doesn't know better, reading that book would make them believe the Daytona Shelby's were built at Whittier. And then there is the statement that Shelby Dakota's came with a Magnum 5.2, which of course, they did not.
Some of the factual errors I came across made me doubt his accuracy for nearly all his statements. Did he go back in his notes to check the facts, or did he just write from memory off the top of his head? To me it seems to be the latter.
The other thing that I really didn't care for were all the pics of folks from Shelby where the author is the only person identified in the pics.
I thought it was an interesting read, but I sure would not use the book as a definitive reference on how or what was done at Sante Fe Springs or Whittier, just too many factual errors or discrepancies, and too much dissing of others efforts to make the author look good.
