    Shifter application

Do any of the neon short throw shifters fit in the early turbo dodges? I heard that some do and some dont? The shifter in my daytona was cut to put a "pistol grip" in and now i want to put a reguler shifter in but its cut. By the way the tranny is a 568. Thanks for any help!

MAddog shifters are the best out there with positive stops for the shifter and will bolt in.

I have a stock SRT-4 shifter in my Daytona. Being the stock piece, it's not any shorter, but it does move the knob to the left and slightly farther back, which I find to be more comfortable. But yes, it was a direct bolt-in. I just removed the assembly from the Neon base and bolted it into the Daytona base, and done.

    Re: Shifter application

Yes the shifter and knob are identical for the 1gn neon and the 523/568 shifter, the base is different.
MadDog has some 523/568 shifters to make STSs with, he'll be doing one for me once my CSX gets a 523 trans.
