    smoking, and popping

My Daytona has been smoking really bad after I put the +20s in. I also put in a 225 fuel pump. Is it because of my computer? Or just too much fuel? And when I get on it or floor it..it just pops and smokes real bad and doesn't go anywhere.

This is the same log car with the stock LM right? If so I'd be highly suspect that the larger injectors would be the cause of your ills.

ya it should or get a afpr and turn the FP down abit. A wideband will be a big help and will help keep the engine alive longer.

    Re: smoking, and popping

We told you in your other thread that you can't run +20's with the stock computer, your flooding the engine with fuel, not good. Check your oil while your at it for contamination. You have no need for +20's with your combo.

How exactly do you take the injectors out? My brother was the one who put the +20s in.

Check the oil? Why bother, change the oil.
$5 says the oil smells like gas.

On a log car it's super easy. Pull the rail and remove them. It's just two bolts that hold the rail on. There may or may not be little clips which hold the injectors to the rail. You just pop those off and reinstall. It's pretty easy once you look at it.

I removed the bolts but it won't budge. The rail is like stuck on

It takes a bit of force to pull it out of the intake especially with the new o-rings the new injectors probably have. It'll come out, but make sure there isn't anything else holding it in first. I'm pretty sure it's just the two bolts, but it has been a while since I've had a log car.

Lol nothing else holding it on. Removed all the lines (fpr) that were going to it. So I just should yank on it?

Pretty much. I usually pop one end out and gently pull the other out afterward.

Glad to be of service. When I started with these cars I knew absolutely nothing. Without the kindness of the guys on this site I don't know where I would be right now.

Actually, there are 4 bolts and 2 bolts holding the regulator on, that way you don't have to remove any of the rubber fuel lines.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll have to look at the log fuel rail I have in the garage the next time I'm in there.

The only reason I am sure is because I just worked on one and had the fuel rail off numerous times,
