Re: Insurance and Accident Do and Dont's
I will say in my experiance it depends on both the insurance company and adjuster. When my son was driving our 78 Oldsmobile in either 1995 or 1996, he was in an accident with a drunk sailor who turned in front of him. The car was a Delta 88 Royale Diesel, worth a $750 bounty from GM at the time. He got $50 for a bruised hand, I got $1100 and retained salvage. I have receipts for a replacement engine, transmission etc. I used to carry a declared value on my 66 Shelby and had it titled as a 1966 Shelby American 2dr. sedan, the only other 1966 was a 2dr. roadster (427 Cobra). This was recognised by Va. DMV at the time.
