'91 Escort pony models had a 4 rib, dunno if it fits the alt or the belt though.

Yeah. Alternator. I never see nd alternators for the 4 cyl in the junk yards, so I'm curious if anyone has tried pulleys from say a mitsubishi or Toyota nippondenso alternator on the dodge one.

Your post is really confusing. You need the alternator complete, just having the pulley won't help in the least.

If you are looking for the alternator, ANY pre 96 car or truck from Dodge will fit, you can use the supplied pulley, just line up the belt correctly.

    Re: ND 4cyl pulley?

What I'm driving at is that the newer nippondenso alternators have a pulley that have 6 ribs, etc. I'm asking if the pulleys on nippondensos on vehicles such as toyotas, mitsubishis, etc which may have a 4 rib pulley would fit on the alternators from say a Dakota. That way I may be able to get a 6 rib nippondenso alternator, and put a 4 rib pulley on it from another car.
I know the 6 rib will work, I'm just asking this just so things look right.

That makes more sense. the pulley's may or may not work as they can be a different size. I have a pulley if you want, $5 plus shipping.
