    1984 Dodge Rampage T2 SMEC 555

    1984 Dodge Rampage

All of these parts other than suspension are not installed..
all was geared up for T2 setup.. I just dont have to time and wont
have a place for it when I move to Minnesota.. The stock carbutated engine
and trans were traded for two 32 packs of Dr Pepper..

1985 T1 block, rebuilt G head with 1mm oversized SS valves, srt
lash/lifters, 88 turbo roller cam swap, ported exhaust manafold drilled for egt.. 1
piece T2 intake powdercoated candy blue along with an 89+ one piece gasket
design "turbo" valve cover matched to intake...

T2 turbo, rebuilt, balanced, quick spool option with 3" swing valve
(hasn't been installed sence I got it back)

custom painted to match intake and valve cover, T2 airbox..
also painted the a/c delete bracket to match...

Engine has 22K on it sence rebuild and was sourced from a 85 Daytona Turbo Z
that was jumped and frame tweeked.. right rear tire was hardly touching
the ground.. bought it for the engine doner, sold parts dirt cheap to G
body friends for a few bucks and Dr Pepper.. engine had great
compression and that's why I bought it.. made a solid 7psi as a log t1
    auto..

Custom built by Cliff Ramsdell 555 Getrag with 3.50fd, cromoly end plate, T
trak posi, ect.. Still new in the crate he shipped it to me and signed by
    the man himself..
    Paid about $1000 for it..

brand new in box Shelby Charger gas tank.. TBI fuel pump hanger (same as
    GLHS)

It has 2 grey seats, just need cleaning..
About the only thing I dont have for it are the seatbelts and the carpeting..
It has a clean title, not salvaged..

    3 dashboards
    one grey in flawless condition
one grey on so so condition with all associated wiring connected and uncut..
one burgandy (orignal to the rampage) non a/c vehicle...

truck has a few special extras over stock.

It has a real set of Direct Connection side skirts and after skirts
Has Direct Connection front air dam (just like Tourismo 2.2)
Cowl induction hood scoop from older Rampage 2.2

Koni Adjustable coilovers up front with Eibach springs..
    In the rear..
    Koni adjustable shocks, _www.Polybushings.com_ (http://www.polybushings.com/)
    rear anti sway bar..

I also have a box with just about every polybushing available for the
    Rampage that's not installed yet...

Its been converted to 5x100mm using parts from a 1987 Shelby Charger..

Has 15x6.5 Daytona Crab wheels painted black wrapped in Falken Azenis with
very little use on them sence new

1988 SMEC wiring harness from 88 LeBaron complete with no cut or burnt
    fusible links..
Just needs a little cleaning and rewiring for the firewall plug.. has
most sensors still atached to it, relays, ect..

Shadow 520 shifter and cables for 555 conversion, stock shifter location has
    been sealed up..

a tiny bit of rust was under the drivers side windsheild trim and it was
    repaired..
then the glass was installed.. brand new ppg windsheild.. No other rust..
    California car..

6 bolt turbo flywheel (needs resurfacing)
Mopar 6 bolt flywheel attachment package

Turbos Unleashed T2/T3 hybrid clutch with throw out bearing (new in box)

About the only thing you would need is a fuel pump and some time..

I don't have any time for this and I dont want to leave it while im living
half way across the country.. I'm sure I've left a bunch of things out..

This would need to be picked up.. not drivable..
    If your interested.. lemme know..

I wont separate anything, its all or nothing.. so don't bother asking..
    any offers?

    thanks

    Re: 1984 Dodge Rampage T2 SMEC 555

but just in case, I figured Id put a little more detail into what the truck comes with.. I was just informed that the guy that said he was truely interested said hes not continplating a divorce or in other words, mite not happen..

heres a list of what the page comes with..

Heres a listing of just some of the parts that come to mind offhand that come with the truck..

Transmission-----------------------------------------paid about $950 Cliff Ramsdell built..
this is a Getrag 555 from a Shelby Daytona, it has a 3:50fd vs the 3:85's the Shelby Daytona has, so it'll be freeway friendly at normal speeds without winding it up... It has the cromoly endplate (twice as thick as the stock steel plate) with a T-Trac posi unit with the anti pin backout ears and its been completely rebuilt..

    -------------------------------------------------

    Engine/head--------------------------------------------------------I'll say $800
paid $400 for doner car that had the rebuilt engine, they showed me the reciept, I called the place the next day and they confirmed the milage the car was at when they did the work..
    ---------
(paid 400ish for the head setup)
SS 1mm oversize valves bought at www.fwdperformance.com,
roller cam/roller rockers from a friend back east from his running wrecked car,
SRT4 lifters bought from Rob a.k.a. "The Pope" on TurboDodge.com.
All machine work and assymbly done at "Machine Service" in Lodi California
(brother's recommendation) They do a lot of dealerships machine work..

there is one questionable thing on the head, a few of the intake manifold bolt holes mite need heli coils, a few of them wouldn't quite grab tension.. So I stopped.. looks like they mite have been cross threaded at one point or another.. I asked the machine shop if they noticed that and they said no, whatever.. I do know the machine shop heli coiled one or two of the cam caps with steel inserts, no problems there.. But you'll see the non factory bolts on em.. the exhaust stud holes are just fine..

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

front Koni coilover adjustable struts------------------------$469 painted red/orange (I hate yellow)
    Fwdperformance.com (they match the rears)

Eibach front 275pd linier rate springs------------------------$119
    Fwdperformance.com

rear Koni adjust shocks, custom modd'd for page-----$40 from ebay (new old stock)
Cant remember users name, but he sold em to me on the side (not through ebay)

A set of Poly bushings from Polybushings.com . I bought everything available at one shot.. just before the transmission mount was released.. lots of other non suspension poly stuff too..

Polybushings.com rear Rampage anti sway bar kit----$179 look at website
    http://www.polybushings.com/pages/rampage.html

Stainless steel braided brake line kit-----------------------$89 from FWDperformance.com
Awesome upgrade, I only installed the rears tho..

T2/T3 clutch kit from ---------------------------------------------$165 easy pedel feel, more grip
    TurbosUnleashed.com

I also bought a lot of gaskets and misc parts here and there for the stock and turbo setup from buymopar.com, my trucks on the customers ride section..
    http://www.buymopar.com/rides/index.html

    Rebuilt custom T2 turbo---------------------little less than $500
    Quick Spool Option (costs $40)
3" swingvalve (usually costs $250 by itself
heavy duty rebuild (usually costs $295)
He gave me a hell of a deal because I called in a favor he owed me..
    From TurbosUnleashed.com

Brand new Shelby Charger Turbo gas tank (with starvage baffels) a little over 150? autozone.. made by american designer.. good stuff according to people on turbododge.

High flow braided stainless turbo coolent lines-----------$110
    TurbosUnleashed.com

Used Ported Turbo exhaust manafold------------------------$40 and they did one hell of a job!
    From username: GLHandGTS on TurboDodge.com

Protect-o-top fiberglass bed cover, I paid 100 for it from a guy in fresno and about 30 for new hardware because he was missing it.. Can you believe its still available!

Powder coated candy blue Intake/Valve cover------------Cant remember what I paid to have it done?!?
Guy on ebay user name MadAdder5.0, cool guy too!

17" wheels, weather or not your interested in em--------paid about $850
I wont count those, I figure if your not scared off already, they go with the truck..
That's what makes the truck Notorious as "Ramlet" and really stands out from the rest..

Ive currently got them for sale on Craigslist.com.. no bites, I was askin like 600 and they only have about 40 miles in town driving and one trip to LA and back.. still have the knobbies on the rubber..

It took me forever to find a set of wheels that would look aggressive, sporty and somewhat modernize the Ramlet..
Its not a muscle car, its not a big truck, its not quite a tuner euro car...
Took almost 4 years to find ones I liked, easy to clean, ect..
    Got those online at DiscountTire.com
I still have the receipt kickin around somewhere..

16" wheels with odd sized 205 45 16 tires cost the same as 17" wheels with common sized 205 40 17 tires, So sence the 17" size tires were more affordable, I said, the hell with it and went for the 17's..
I still think the 16's would have been better.. but their just as nice..

Lots of other do-dads as well.. Not to mention the worth of the Rampage itself..

I got the Rampage for free anyways.. Friend out in napa got warned about being cited for having to many vehicles.. He remembered I got into an accident with mine and I helped him out with his GLHS when he had hand surgery and I replaced and upgraded his Alternator, and did the basic tune up stuff for him just because he couldn't, he bought dinner and it was a great day just driving around in his car.. He called me up out of the blue and just gave the Rampage to me.. It needed a lot of work, , clutch, brakes, front and rear, rotors, drums, wheel bearings, axles and just about every seal needed.. about 800 bucks just to get it to drive as stock, but at the time, that's all I had and I was grateful to get it...

So far I've got about $3500... What did you get?
I honestly think that any more than that would be a bit excessive for a non drivable car..

This ones "not" a salvage title and the tags are current

    Re: 1984 Dodge Rampage T2 SMEC 555

Parts are worth roughly about 3500, not including what the Rampage itself is worth.. So I figured 3K o.b.o.

heres a few pictures of the truck itself..

click on the smaller picture, use your back button to go back to the main page..

    http://hometown.aol.com/pentastarturbo/page2.html

also worth mentioning, it has a manual rack..
